Top Ten Tuesdays: Adults

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme host by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week we had to pick a certain genre and give a top ten list.  I have decided to do adult books because in the last couple years I have been getting away from reading adult novels and I would like to showcase them more on my blog.

Top Ten Adult Books:

Margaret Atwood is my favourite author and this book is amazing!

This book is relatively new and has been on the bestseller list since it's come out.  It is such a haunting tale.

Marian Keyes is another one of my faves.  This book has it all- romance, friendship and it also deals with domestic violence.

This is not a well known book.  I had to read it for a literature class I took and fell in love with this historical fiction book.

This book got me back into reading after University.

I loved this book!  It is about a boy who has autism and who finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation.

Again, another book from my Neo-Victorian lit class.  It shows a different take on Great Expectations.

I think most of you have read this- AWESOME!

This book was popular in Canada for a bit.  It is written quite well but deals with some disturbing subject matter.

This book has a different name in the States but it is beautifully crafted and is about slavery.

Okay so this is #11.  This book is a chunker but tells the story of a set of twins.  One of the twins is schizophrenic and it shows their struggle with mental illness.
Wow, I have 11 here and I still had to pare it down.  I hope you enjoy and I'm curious to see what the rest of you have for your top ten lists.

Happy Reading!
